After working with many different breeds and disciplines over the last 25 years she has come to love and respect the talent and beauty of the American Paint Horse. To further update her expertise of this profession she maintains her education by working with some of the nation's finest and most respected APHA and AQHA's trainers and attending APHA, AQHA, and NSBA seminars and judging events nationwide. Julie Thompson-Martell also holds her apprentice judge's card for the APHA breed and continues to work towards her judges card in 2008. 

Even though she works long hours both at the ranch and away at horse shows Julie enjoys the loving support of her family that include her husband of 15 years Dale Martell, her teenage son Jared and her 7 year old daughter Madelyn. Which interestingly enough do not ride but take very good care of the four-legged friends while Julie is away at shows.
